Overhead Crane (SAIOSH)

An Overhead Crane operator is trained to safely operate crane equipment used to lift, move, and position heavy loads in industrial, warehouse, factory, and workshop environments.

The training usually covers pre-use inspections, safe lifting methods, load control, hand signals, communication, hazard identification, and correct parking or shutdown procedures. Operators must follow workplace safety rules to protect people, equipment, and materials.
