QCTO Accredited Assessment Center
• Under the Skills Development Act, 1998 (Act 97 of 1998), the QCTO accredits assessment centers
to conduct the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) for designated occupational
qualifications, part-qualifications, or trades listed in the National Learners’ Records Database
(NLRD), even if they do not have an associated occupational qualification.
• The EISA is a national, standardized assessment that awards Occupational Certificates to
competent learners. It plays a crucial role in QCTO’s quality assurance system by ensuring that
assessments for occupational qualifications, part-qualifications, and trades are consistent, reliable,
and credible.

Governing General Hygiene Requirements for Food Premises, The Transport of Food & Related Matters
Food Safety Practices for Person in Charge of Food Premises Course is targeted at food business
owners who want to comply with South African food safety regulations.
It introduces Persons In Charge of Food Premises to the fundaments of Food Safety practises, HACCP
principles and GMPs. It ensures that Persons In Charge have the necessary training
that will enable them to apply for a Certificate of Acceptability and operate their food business legally.
