The Hydraulic Crane Pick Up and Carry C36 Operator Skills Programme prepares learners to safely operate a Hydraulic Crane Pick Up and Carry C36 in accordance with NCoP Code C36. The crane is designed and constructed for the purpose of raising, lowering, moving and positioning loads in suspension.
This programme focuses on both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required in lifting machine operations. Learners are introduced to the safety, legal, operational and communication requirements that apply when working with hydraulic cranes in construction, mining, industrial, transport and other lifting environments.
During the course, learners will develop an understanding of key legislation, regulations, codes of practice, workplace safety requirements, hazards, risk assessments, PPE, emergency procedures, first aid, firefighting, environmental controls and safe working practices. They will also learn about lifting machine components, equipment, attachments, materials, maintenance schedules, load charts, load calculations and the importance of identifying and reporting defects.
