This skills programme is designed for learners who need to operate a Hydraulic Crane Pick Up and Carry C36 safely and correctly in lifting environments.
The course prepares learners to inspect the work area, complete pre-start checks, conduct set-up checks, plan lifting activities, prepare the crane for travel, lift and move loads, communicate with riggers or signal persons, and shut down the crane safely after use.
Learners will also gain knowledge of lifting machine legislation, safety procedures, load charts, rigging and slinging, communication methods, equipment inspections, safe working load, route planning, travel compliance and refuelling or energising precautions.
By completing this programme, learners should be able to operate a Hydraulic Crane Pick Up and Carry C36 in line with workplace procedures, manufacturer specifications and NCoP Code C36 requirements.
