The Counterbalanced Lift Truck F3 Driver programme is designed for learners who are required to operate a counterbalanced lift truck with a rated capacity of up to 15 000 kg in a workplace environment. This category is used for heavier-duty lifting operations than F1 and F2 forklifts and is commonly found in warehouses, logistics yards, manufacturing plants, construction sites, freight handling areas, ports, mining support areas, and heavy industrial operations.
A Counterbalanced Lift Truck F3 Driver is responsible for moving, lifting, lowering, stacking, de-stacking, storing, retrieving, and positioning heavy loads safely and efficiently. Because the machine handles large and heavy loads, the operator must have a strong understanding of machine stability, load capacity, load centre, visibility, braking distance, ground conditions, pedestrian safety, and workplace traffic rules.
