Gain the confidence and practical skills to respond effectively in emergency situations with this hands-on Basic Emergency First Aid Responder programme. Designed to build essential life-saving capability, this course prepares learners to assess incidents, provide immediate first aid care, and support ill or injured persons until professional medical help arrives.
Learners will develop a strong foundation in emergency scene safety, the ABCs of first aid, basic anatomy and physiology, and the principles of recognising and responding to common injuries and medical emergencies. The programme focuses on helping learners identify life-threatening conditions quickly and take appropriate action within the scope of basic first aid practice.
A strong practical component equips learners with hands-on skills in CPR, AED use, choking management, bleeding control, wound and burn care, recovery position techniques, and the management of fractures, shock, unconsciousness, and other common emergency conditions. Learners also develop the ability to communicate effectively with patients, bystanders, and emergency services, and to hand over patients correctly for further care.
Ideal for workplaces, community environments, safety-related roles, and anyone wanting essential emergency response skills, this programme provides a valuable foundation for acting quickly, safely, and confidently when every second counts.
